Life story
Mamedov Khayal Khalik oglu was born on February 12, 2001 in the city of Sumgait.
Khayal, originally from the village of Garvand in the Fizuli region, loved his homeland. Khayal, who became interested in sports while still in high school, played football and judo. In April 2018, Khayal was called to active duty and served in the Special Forces. In the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020, Khayal also showed great courage as a special forces soldier. Khayal, who began his combat journey in the direction of Agdere - Murov, was chosen as a machine gunner for his heroism. The next task of Khayal and his fellow warriors was in the direction of Jebrail - Fuzuli. Khayal distinguished himself during the liberation of a number of strategic points and the destruction of several enemy manpower points. On October 15, 2020, during the fighting in the direction of Gargabazar, Fizuli district, Khayal fought heroically and became a martyr.
Mammadov Khayal Khalik oglu was posthumously awarded the Rashadat Order of the 3rd degree and the medals “For the Motherland”, “Brave Warrior”, “For Courage”, “For the Liberation of Khojavend”, “For the Liberation of Fuzuli” and “For the Liberation of Kelbajar”.
