Life story
Suleymanov Vasif Akif oglu was born on February 24, 2002 in the village of Bum, Gabala region. He received his secondary education at the secondary school in the village of Bum, Gabala region. He studied hotel management at the Gabala Vocational School from the 9th grade. Suleymanov Vasif completed active military service in Ganja and Jalilabad in military unit No. N.
He took part in battles from the first day of the war. On October 6, 2020, he reached the peak of martyrdom in the Fizuli region. He died from shrapnel wounds to the head and chest while saving his commander. He was buried on October 7, 2020 in the village of Bum, Gabala region.
Vasif was named after his uncle, who died while serving in the USSR army, and was the brother of two sisters.
By the corresponding decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Shahid Suleymanov Vasif Akif oglu was posthumously awarded the medals of the orders “Brave Warrior”, “For the Liberation of Jebrail”, “For the Liberation of Kelbajar”, “For the Liberation of Kelbajar”. “Liberation of Fuzuli” and the Order “For Valor, 3rd degree”.
