Life story

Ilkin Qalamshah oglu Ahadzada was born on June 26, 1985, in Baku. He was one of three brothers in a family of five. His childhood was spent in Baku. In 1992, he entered the first grade of secondary school No. 51 in Baku and completed the eighth grade in 2000. That same year, he enrolled in the Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum and graduated in 2003. For exemplary service, Ilkin Ahadzada was awarded numerous medals, including the III degree "For Impeccable Service" medal, the "10th Anniversary of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan" jubilee medal, the "90th Anniversary of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan" jubilee medal, the "95th Anniversary of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan" jubilee medal, and the "100th Anniversary of the Azerbaijani Army" jubilee medal. During the Second Karabakh War, which began on September 27, 2020, and lasted for 44 days, Major Ilkin Ahadzada, the deputy battalion commander, participated in the battles and showed exceptional heroism in the liberation of Kalbajar. As a battalion commander, Major Ilkin Ahadzada always fought at the forefront, delivering crushing blows to the enemy and eliminating many of its personnel. The brave commander Ahadzada Ilkin captured three posts in the Kalbajar direction and heroically died on October 1, 2020, while supplying these posts. The body of the martyr was brought to Baku and buried in the Second Alley of Honor. The martyr was married and left behind two daughters and a son. By the relevant decrees of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Ilkin Ahadzada was posthumously awarded the medals "For the Motherland", "For the Liberation of Kalbajar", "For Bravery" and the 3rd degree "Order of Merit".
