Life story

Shirinov Etibar Fazil oglu was born on August 27, 1993, in the village of Ivanovka, Ismayilli district. Etibar studied until the 10th grade at the secondary school in the village of Ivanovka. In 2010-2011, he studied at the Aliabad village madrasa in the Zaqatala district, receiving both religious and secondary education.
In October 2011, he went for military service. During his service, he voluntarily enrolled in the Special Forces training course. In April 2013, he completed his military service. After returning from the army, he worked for a while as a locksmith in Baku and then continued working in this field in Goychay.
In June 2020, he got married. In September 2020, the Patriotic War began, and Etibar voluntarily registered at the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription and went to war. When he left, he took a handful of soil and a flag with him. He said that he would plant the flag in Shusha, and if he became a martyr, they should put the soil on his grave. His last words before leaving were: "We will go and write history, and you will read about us in history books."
He fought with courage and heroism in the war, quickly earning the nickname "The Wolf of Ismayilli". His first battles were in Horadiz, where he was always at the forefront. In the battles, he was wounded in the leg but refused to go to the hospital and receive medical treatment, continuing to fight. He showed great bravery in all battles. He actively participated in the liberation of Zangilan city and its villages. He also fought heroically in the battles for the liberation of Jabrayil and Khojavend.
One day before the end of the war, during a reconnaissance operation in the liberated areas of Zangilan, he and his comrade were martyred (November 9, 2020).
According to the decrees of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Etibar Shirinov was posthumously awarded the medals "For the Motherland", "Brave Warrior", "For the Liberation of Jabrayil", "For the Liberation of Zangilan", and "For the Liberation of Khojavend".
Etibar was very patriotic and devoted to his nation and people. His father, Shirnov Fazil, is also a veteran of the First Karabakh War. He fought for 3 years in the First Karabakh War. Etibar was the only son in the family; he had two sisters. May Allah grant paradise to all martyrs. Martyrs are our pride and honor.
Etibar's words: "Long live the Azerbaijani army, long live the Azerbaijani people. As long as we are here, the Azerbaijani people can live in peace."
