Life story
Mammadguliyev Agabey Zaur oglu was born on June 15, 2001, in the Korgoz settlement of the Garadagh district. He studied at the 197th full secondary school in Baku. Agabey Mammadguliyev served as an assistant gunner during the war. Since 2019, he had been serving his mandatory military service in the ranks of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. In the days leading up to the war, he was serving in military unit "N" in Mingachevir. From September 27, 2020, he participated in the Patriotic War launched by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces to liberate the occupied territories and restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. He fought in the battles for the liberation of Sugovushan. Agabey Mammadguliyev was martyred on September 27, 2020, while carrying out a combat mission in the direction of the village of Talysh in the Terter district. According to the decrees of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Agabey Mammadguliyev was posthumously awarded the medals "For the Motherland," "For the Liberation of Sugovushan," "Brave Warrior," and the 3rd degree "For Service to the Motherland" order.
