Life story
Elizade Kurban Ziyafaddin oglu was born on June 10, 1992, in the village of Yukhari Kurmukhudlu in the Fuzuli district. He entered the first grade of the Ramil Alekperov Secondary School in Kurmukhudlu village in 1999 and graduated in 2009. In October 2010, he began his service in the internal troops in Baku. Kurban honorably completed his military service and returned home. He was a highly patriotic, talented, friendly, melodious, and kind-hearted hero, who easily connected with everyone around him.
Kurban was the brother of two sisters and took great care of his parents and sisters. His love for the homeland led him to stay on additional military service in 2013. He served as a platoon commander and was awarded commendations and honors by his commander in 2016 for his active participation in the battles for Laletapa. He rose to the rank of sergeant. Among his military comrades, he was always distinguished by his patriotism and kindness. On September 27, 2020, he participated in the Second Karabakh War. During the battle, he stood out with his activity, fighting valiantly and courageously. He was wounded but continued to fight. His heroism is proudly remembered by his fellow soldiers. On October 1, he heroically fell, reaching the highest pinnacle of Martyrdom. According to the decrees of the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, after his death, Elizade Kurban was awarded the "For the Motherland" medal, the "For the Liberation of Hojavend" medal, the "For the Liberation of Fuzuli" medal, the "Brave Warrior" medal, and the III degree "For Service to the Motherland" Order.
