Life story
Rauf Cavadov was born on October 30, 1965, in Qırmızıkənd village, Neftchala district. He received his education at the No. 5 Chemistry-Biology School in Baku and graduated from the Metallurgical Institute in Dnepropetrovsk. He began his work at the “Azərboru” Production Association in Sumgayit.
In 1993, Rauf Cavadov was drafted into the Azerbaijani National Army, attended Officer Courses in Baku, graduated with honors, and began his service as a lieutenant. From September 7, 1993, he served at the Military Headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in Ganja, where he held positions as deputy platoon commander and head of the armored vehicle service. Rauf was noted for his discipline, kindness, bravery, responsiveness, and modesty, and received multiple acknowledgments from the leadership.
On July 2, 1994, Rauf Cavadov was severely wounded while carrying out a military mission in Ahmadbeyli village, Fuzuli district, and achieved martyrdom.
Lieutenant Rauf Cavadov was buried in the cemetery of Qırmızıkənd village, Neftchala district. He was married, and his son, born six months after his death, bears his name.
