Life story
Martyr Zeynalov Kerem Eyyub oglu was born on January 11, 1967, in the village of Yukhari Farajan in the Lachin region. After finishing high school, he trained as a driver in the Lachin region and completed his military service in Saratov, Russia. He worked in Russia for nearly a year, but after the Khojaly events, he returned to Azerbaijan. He got married and, to avenge the mothers and sisters, voluntarily enlisted in the army. When the prepared unit arrived in Farajan village, Kerem was guarding the village's women, children, and mothers. At one point, the unit needed a guide and scout. Kerem volunteered, leading the unit through secret paths to a place called Arpa, where they killed 9 Armenians. In the village of Agdja, they also killed 7 Armenians and captured 4 bearded Armenians, whom they sent to Baku by helicopter. On August 5, during the capture of Gyzarty height, Kerem was heroically wounded in the head. He was brought to the military hospital in Baku, but due to the severity of his injuries, he became a martyr on August 6. He was buried on August 7 in the Alley of Martyrs in Sumgayit. Kerem left behind a family and a daughter, who followed in her father's footsteps and became a soldier. He also has a granddaughter who carries his name. May God bless the soul of our martyr. Amen.
