Life story

Mahammadali Mutallim oglu Ibrahimli was born on November 22, 1996, in Beylagan, Azerbaijan. He was originally from the village of Cuvarlı in Fuzuli. His father, Mutallim Khalilov, was a participant in the First Karabakh War. Mahammadali attended school No. 215 in Sabunçu, Baku, from 2003 to 2014. He was admitted to the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and, after graduating in 2018, pursued a master's degree at the Azerbaijan Technical University.
Having completed his bachelor's and master's degrees, Mahammadali Ibrahimli participated in the Second Karabakh War, which began on September 27, 2020, as part of the Azerbaijani Ground Forces, taking part in the liberation of Suqovushan and battles in the direction of Agdere. During the fighting, he was severely injured and was taken to Barda for treatment but voluntarily returned to the front lines, interrupting his treatment. On October 13, during a reconnaissance unit's attack on an Armenian Armed Forces post in the Agdere direction, he eliminated over 20 Armenian soldiers with a grenade but was killed in the ensuing battle. His body was found two months after the war ended.
Mahammadali Ibrahimli was called up for military service in 2020. He participated in the Second Karabakh War, which began on September 27, 2020, as a reconnaissance soldier of the Azerbaijani Army. On the night of October 3 to 4, he sustained shrapnel wounds to both arms and his back during the battles for the liberation of Suqovushan; nevertheless, he managed to extract three wounded and one martyr from a dangerous area. After being severely injured, he was taken to a diagnostic hospital in Barda, where he stayed for 15 days but returned to the front voluntarily just three days later.
On October 13, he participated in a reconnaissance unit's attack on an Armenian Armed Forces post in the Agdere direction. After seeing his comrades fall, he attacked the Armenian positions and eliminated over 20 Armenian soldiers with a grenade. Mahammadali Ibrahimli was martyred in those battles. His body was found after the war, in December. He was buried on December 15, 2020, in the Sabunçu Martyrs' Cemetery.
Originally from the village of Cuvarlı in Fuzuli, Mahammadali Ibrahimli was one of the most active members of the "Imarat" fan group. In January 2021, after Mahir Emreli scored the winning goal against "Sabah," he displayed a white shirt featuring Mahammadali Ibrahimli's image. In May of that year, he was posthumously awarded the silver medal of the Azerbaijan Premier League as a member of the "Qarabagh" team. Additionally, in July, an exhibition dedicated to Mahammadali Ibrahimli was opened at the central library of the Khatai district. Furthermore, the "Mahammadali Ibrahimli Scholarship Program" was established to support Azerbaijani students pursuing master's degrees in different countries. The "Qarabagh" FK concluded the next season with a gold medal, and during the medal and trophy presentation ceremony on May 22, 2022, a medal intended for the martyred Mahammadali Ibrahimli was presented to his father.
On July 23, 2021, an exhibition dedicated to the memory of the martyr Məhəmmədəli Ibrahimli was opened at the central library of the Khatai District Centralized Library System.
According to the decree of the President of Azerbaijan, Məhəmmədəli Ibrahimli was awarded the medals "For the Liberation of Suqovushan" and "For the Homeland."
