Life story
Saleh Namig oglu Aliyev was born on August 18, 1992, in the Zabrat settlement of the Sabunchu district of Baku. In 1998, he began his education at School No. 71 named after martyr Elkhan Misirkhanov, located in the Sabunchu district, and graduated in 2007. In 2010, he enrolled in the Jewelry Faculty of the Baku Management and Technology College, completing his studies in 2014.
Saleh performed his military service in 2014 in a military unit located in the Kemerli village of the Gazakh district. After completing his service in 2016, he worked in various fields. Inspired by the martyrdom of Major General Polad Hashimov during the Tovuz clashes in July 2020, he voluntarily joined the army. On September 21, 2020, without informing his family, he applied to the military commissariat and joined the Patriotic War.
From September 27, 2020, Saleh participated in the battles for the liberation of the Fizuli and Jabrayil districts. Throughout the war, he kept in regular contact with his family to reassure them. The last time he spoke to his mother was on October 15, 2020, asking for her blessings. On the same day, he heroically fell in the battles for Fizuli.
By the decrees of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Saleh Aliyev was posthumously awarded the medals "For the Motherland"and "For the Liberation of Khojavend". To honor his memory, a memorial fountain complex was built in front of his residence. In addition, classrooms named after him were established in School No. 71, where he studied, and School No. 176.
The memory of Saleh Aliyev will always live in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
