Life story
Tural Guliyev was born on October 25, 1995, in the Yevlakh district. From childhood, he worked in construction alongside his father. He was conscripted into the military by the Yevlakh District branch of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription. He served his mandatory military service in one of the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. After completing his service, he returned to civilian life.
From September 9, 2020, Tural Guliyev continued his service as a contracted military serviceman. His greatest wish was to start a family, but this dream remained unfulfilled.
As a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, Tural Guliyev participated in the Second Karabakh War, which began on September 27, 2020, by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces to liberate Azerbaijani territories under Armenian occupation and restore the country's territorial integrity. He fought in the battles for the liberation of Murovdag. On October 1, 2020, Tural Guliyev heroically fell while carrying out a combat mission in the direction of the Murovdag mountain range in the Kalbajar district.
Initially reported missing, Tural’s remains were recovered and returned to his family on December 7, 2020.
By the decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Tural Guliyev was posthumously awarded the "For the Motherland," "Brave Warrior," and "For the Liberation of Sugovushan" medals.
