Life story
Rustamli Bahruz Malik oglu was born on October 01, 1998, in the Qəhrəmanlı settlement of the Beylagan district. He received his secondary education at the Tağı Məmmədov Secondary School.
In 2015, he began his mandatory military service, completing it at the Garahyabat Training Center. Although he returned and worked in various civilian fields, his deep love for the homeland compelled him to return to the military. In 2018, he started serving again in a military unit in the Fuzuli region. As an artillery commander, he actively participated in the Second Karabakh War, eliminating many enemy soldiers and receiving medals for his valor. In 2020, Bahruz enrolled in the Special Forces to further develop his skills, successfully completing the course there. In 2022, he also actively took part in an anti-terror operation.
During the successful local anti-terror measures carried out on September 20, 2023, Bahruz was martyred by enemy mortar fire in the Dağdağan village of the Khojaly region. He lost his life at the young age of 25.
By the relevant decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Bahruz Rustəmli was posthumously awarded the medals “For the Liberation of Fuzuli,” “For the Liberation of Khojavend,” “For Bravery,” “Participant of the Patriotic War,” “For the Motherland,” “Brave Warrior,” and the 3rd degree “For Service to the Motherland” Order.
